QUR’AN VERSES WHEN YOU FEEL ASHAMED
1. Surah Az-Zumar (39:53)
ُْูู َูุง ุนِุจَุงุฏَِู ูฑَّูุฐَِูู ุฃَุณْุฑَُููุง ุนََٰูู ุฃَُููุณِِูู ْ َูุง ุชََْููุทُูุง ู ِู ุฑَّุญْู َุฉِ ูฑَِّููู
“Say: O My servants who have wronged their souls, do not despair of Allah’s mercy...”
๐น Meaning: Allah is directly speaking to you — to sinners, not saints. And He’s calling you back, not away.
2. Surah Al-Furqan (25:70)
َูุฃَُٰูููุ۟ٓฆَِู ُูุจَุฏُِّู ูฑَُّููู ุณََِّููุٔงุชِِูู ْ ุญَุณََٰููุชٍ ۗ ََููุงَู ูฑَُّููู ุบَُููุฑًุۭง ุฑَّุญِูู ًุง
“Allah will replace their bad deeds with good deeds. And Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.”
๐น Meaning: Not only does He forgive — He can transform your shame into reward if your repentance is sincere.
3. Surah An-Nur (24:31)
َูุชُูุจُูุง ุฅَِูู ุงَِّููู ุฌَู ِูุนًุง ุฃََُّููุง ุงْูู ُุคْู َُِููู َูุนََُّููู ْ ุชُِْููุญَُูู
“And all of you, turn in repentance to Allah, O believers, so that you may succeed.”
๐น Meaning: Tawbah (repentance) isn’t just for sinners — it’s for believers who want success.
๐ฟ HADITH THAT WASH AWAY SHAME
1. The Prophet ๏ทบ Said:
“Every son of Adam sins, but the best of sinners are those who repent.”
— Tirmidhi๐น Meaning: It’s not shameful to fall. It’s shameful to stay fallen. Get up. Allah is waiting.
2. Allah Is More Joyful Than Anyone
“Allah is more pleased with the repentance of His servant than one who finds his lost camel in a desert.”
— Sahih Muslim๐น Meaning: Allah celebrates your return. Don’t ever think you’re unwelcome.
3. Hidden Sins, Hidden Mercy
“He who conceals [his sin] and repents, Allah will forgive him.”
— Sunan An-Nasa’i๐น Meaning: Even if no one knows your shame, Allah does — and He’s ready to wipe it clean.
๐คฒ DUAS WHEN YOU FEEL SHAMEFUL
1. The Dua of Adam (A.S.)
ุฑَุจََّูุง ุธََูู َْูุง ุฃَُููุณََูุง َูุฅِู َّูู ْ ุชَุบِْูุฑْ ََููุง َูุชَุฑْุญَู َْูุง ََََُّูููููู ู َِู ุงْูุฎَุงุณِุฑَِูู
“Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves. If You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers.”
— Surah Al-A’raf (7:23)
2. The Prophet’s Repentance
“O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, guide me, and provide for me.”
— Sahih Muslim๐น The Prophet ๏ทบ — who was sinless — made istighfar (seeking forgiveness) over 70 times a day. How much more should we?
3. From the Depths of Your Heart
๐️ “Ya Allah, I feel ashamed. I let myself fall. But I turn to You — not because I deserve Your mercy, but because You are The Most Merciful. Please forgive me and let me begin again.”
๐ REMEMBER THIS:
Shame becomes shifa (healing) when you walk back to Allah.
Your Lord is not looking for perfection — He’s looking for a broken heart that returns.
You are still loved. Still wanted. Still worthy — in the eyes of the One who created you.
“Allah loves those who repent.” — Qur’an 2:222
