QUR’AN VERSES WHEN FEELING IRRITATED OR ANGRY


1. Surah Ash-Shura (42:43)

ูˆَู„َู…َู† ุตَุจَุฑَ ูˆَุบَูَุฑَ ุฅِู†َّ ุฐَٰู„ِูƒَ ู„َู…ِู†ْ ุนَุฒْู…ِ ุงู„ْุฃُู…ُูˆุฑِ

“And whoever is patient and forgives — indeed, that is from the matters of great resolve.”
๐Ÿ”น Meaning: Irritation often invites overreaction. But patience is strength in the eyes of Allah.


2. Surah Al-Imran (3:134)

ูˆَุงู„ْูƒَุงุธِู…ِูŠู†َ ุงู„ْุบَูŠْุธَ ูˆَุงู„ْุนَุงูِูŠู†َ ุนَู†ِ ุงู„ู†َّุงุณِ

“Those who restrain their anger and pardon people — and Allah loves the doers of good.”
๐Ÿ”น Meaning: Suppressing your irritation is not weakness. It’s a path to Allah’s love.


3. Surah Al-Furqan (25:63)

ูˆَุฅِุฐَุง ุฎَุงุทَุจَู‡ُู…ُ ุงู„ْุฌَุงู‡ِู„ُูˆู†َ ู‚َุงู„ُูˆุง ุณَู„َุงู…ًุง

“When the ignorant address them harshly, they respond with peace.”
๐Ÿ”น Meaning: When others try to disturb your peace — don’t let them succeed. Respond with calm and dignity.

1. The Prophet ๏ทบ Said:

“The strong one is not the one who overcomes others by force. The strong one is the one who controls himself when angry.”
Sahih al-Bukhari

๐Ÿ”น Meaning: Power is not in shouting or reacting — it's in restraint.


2. A Cure for Anger

“If one of you gets angry while standing, sit down. If the anger leaves him, well and good. If not, lie down.”
Abu Dawood

๐Ÿ”น Meaning: Change your position — physically and mentally — when irritated.


3. The Prophet ๏ทบ Taught:

“If any of you becomes angry, let him be silent.”
Ahmad

๐Ÿ”น Meaning: Your silence in irritation can save relationships, protect your dignity, and earn reward.


๐Ÿคฒ DUAS FOR CALMING IRRITATION & ANGER


1. Dua for Control Over Emotions

ุงู„ู„َّู‡ُู…َّ ุงุบْูِุฑْ ู„ِูŠ ุฐَู†ْุจِูŠ، ูˆَุฃَุฐْู‡ِุจْ ุบَูŠْุธَ ู‚َู„ْุจِูŠ، ูˆَุฃَุฌِุฑْู†ِูŠ ู…ِู†َ ุงู„ุดَّูŠْุทَุงู†ِ ุงู„ุฑَّุฌِูŠู…ِ

“O Allah, forgive my sins, remove the anger from my heart, and protect me from Shaytan.”


2. Dua the Prophet ๏ทบ Said Often

ุงู„ู„َّู‡ُู…َّ ุงุฌْุนَู„ْู†ِูŠ ู‡َู„ِูŠู†ًุง ู„َูŠِّู†ًุง

“O Allah, make me gentle and soft in nature.”


3. From the Heart

๐Ÿ•Š️ “Ya Allah, I feel irritated and impatient. Soften my heart. Make me calm in moments of anger. Let me respond with grace, not ego.”
