Qur'an Verses for Anxiety Relief
1. Surah Ar-Ra’d (13:28)
ุฃََูุง ุจِุฐِْูุฑِ ุงَِّููู ุชَุทْู َุฆُِّู ุงُُْููููุจُ
"Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest."
(Qur’an 13:28)
๐น Meaning: True peace comes from remembering Allah — it calms the heart and mind.
2. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286)
ุฑَุจََّูุง َูุง ุชُุญَู َِّْููุง ู َุง َูุง ุทَุงَูุฉَ ََููุง ุจِِู
"Our Lord, do not burden us with more than we have strength to bear."
(Qur’an 2:286)
๐น Meaning: This is a dua from the Qur'an — a plea for Allah to ease your burdens when life feels overwhelming.
3. Surah Al-Imran (3:139)
ََููุง ุชَُِูููุง ََููุง ุชَุญْุฒَُููุง َูุฃَูุชُู ُ ุงْูุฃَุนََْْููู
"So do not weaken and do not grieve, for you will be superior if you are [true] believers."
(Qur’an 3:139)
๐น Meaning: Do not let anxiety defeat you — Allah promises strength and victory to the believers.
๐ฟ Hadith for Anxiety & Inner Peace
1. Prophet’s Dua When Anxious
ุงُّูููู َّ ุฅِِّูู ุฃَุนُูุฐُ ุจَِู ู َِู ุงَููู ِّ َูุงูุญَุฒَِู
"O Allah, I seek refuge with You from worry and sorrow..."
— Sahih al-Bukhari 6369
๐น Meaning: The Prophet ๏ทบ taught us to directly seek Allah’s protection from anxiety.
2. Powerful Dua in Anxiety (Sunnah)
ุงَُّูููู َّ ุฑَุญْู َุชََู ุฃَุฑْุฌُู ََููุง ุชَِِْูููู ุฅَِٰูู َْููุณِู ุทَุฑَْูุฉَ ุนٍَْูู
"O Allah, I hope for Your mercy, so do not leave me in charge of my affairs even for the blink of an eye."
— Abu Dawood, Hasan
๐น Meaning: Ask Allah not to leave you to your thoughts or struggles even for a moment.
3. Hadith – Reward of Patience in Trials
“No fatigue, nor disease, nor sorrow, nor sadness, nor hurt, nor distress befalls a Muslim... but Allah expiates some of his sins because of it.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim
๐น Meaning: Your anxiety and distress are never wasted. Allah rewards and purifies you through them.
๐ธ Dhikr (Remembrance) for Anxiety
1. "Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel"
ุญَุณْุจَُูุง ุงَُّููู َِููุนْู
َ ุงَُِْููููู
"Allah is sufficient for us, and He is the Best Disposer of affairs."
(Qur’an 3:173)
— Recite this frequently when anxious.
2. "La ilaha illa Anta Subhanaka inni kuntu minaz-zalimeen"
َูุง ุฅََِٰูู ุฅَِّูุง ุฃَูุชَ ุณُุจْุญَุงََูู ุฅِِّูู ُููุชُ ู
َِู ุงูุธَّุงِูู
َِูู
"There is no deity but You, Glory be to You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers."
(Qur’an 21:87 – Dua of Yunus ุนููู ุงูุณูุงู )
