Dua for Success (Al-Falāḥ / Al-Najāḥ)

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً، وَفِي الآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً، وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ

Transliteration:

Rabbana ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanah, wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanah, wa qinā ‘adhāban-nār

Translation:

“O our Lord! Grant us goodness in this world, and goodness in the Hereafter, and protect us from the punishment of the Fire.”

Transliteration:

Allāhumma lā sahla illā mā ja‘altahu sahlā, wa anta taj‘alu al-ḥazna idhā shi’ta sahlā

Translation:

“O Allah, there is no ease except what You make easy, and You can make the difficult easy if You will.”

رَبِّ قَدْ آتَيْتَنِي مِنَ الْمُلْكِ، وَعَلَّمْتَنِي مِن تَأْوِيلِ الْأَحَادِيثِ، فَاطِرَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ، أَنتَ وَلِيِّي فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ، تَوَفَّنِي مُسْلِمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِي بِالصَّالِحِينَ

Transliteration:

Rabbi qad ātaytanī minal-mulki wa ‘allamtanī min ta’wīlil-aḥādīth, fāṭiras-samāwāti wal-arḍ, anta waliyyī fid-dunyā wal-ākhirah, tawaffanī musliman wa alḥiqnī bis-ṣāliḥīn

Translation:

“O my Lord, You have given me sovereignty and taught me the interpretation of dreams. Creator of the heavens and the earth, You are my protector in this world and the Hereafter. Cause me to die a Muslim and join me with the righteous.”

اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي لِأَحْسَنِ الْأَعْمَالِ وَأَحْسَنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ، لَا يَهْدِي لِأَحْسَنِهَا إِلَّا أَنتَ، وَاصْرِفْ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا لَا يَصْرِفُ عَنِّي سَيِّئَهَا إِلَّا أَنتَ

Transliteration:

Allāhumma ihdinī li-aḥsanil-a‘māli wa aḥsanil-akhlāq, lā yahdī li-aḥsaniha illā anta, wa ṣrif ‘annī sayyi’ahā, lā yaṣrifu ‘annī sayyi’ahā illā anta

Translation:

“O Allah, guide me to the best of deeds and the best of character, for none guides to the best of them but You. And turn me away from the worst of them, for none can turn them away from me but You.”
