1. Surah Al-Imran (3:134)

وَالْكَاظِمِينَ الْغَيْظَ وَالْعَافِينَ عَنِ النَّاسِ ۗ وَاللَّهُ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِينَ

2. Surah Ash-Shura (42:37)

وَالَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ وَإِذَا مَا غَضِبُوا هُمْ يَغْفِرُونَ

“And those who avoid major sins… and when they are angry, they forgive.”
🔹 Meaning: The strongest response to anger is not revenge — it's forgiveness.

🌿 HADITH: WHAT THE PROPHET ﷺ TAUGHT ABOUT ANGER

1. True Strength is Emotional Control

The Prophet ﷺ said: “The strong man is not the one who defeats others in wrestling. Rather, the strong one is the one who controls himself at the time of anger.”
Sahih al-Bukhari & Muslim

🔹 Meaning: Your calmness is strength. Holding your tongue is a badge of honor in Islam.

2. Advice from the Prophet ﷺ

A man said to the Prophet ﷺ, “Give me advice.” He replied: “Do not get angry.” He repeated it again and again.
Sahih al-Bukhari

🔹 Meaning: Controlling anger is so important that the Prophet ﷺ made it a top priority in life advice.

3. How to React During Anger

“If one of you gets angry while standing, let him sit. If the anger doesn’t leave, let him lie down.”
Abu Dawood (Hasan)

🔹 Meaning: Change your position to change your emotion. Simple steps can cool your heart.

🕊️ DUAS FOR WHEN YOU’RE ANGRY

1. Say This to Cool Down

أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

“I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaytan.”
🔹 The Prophet ﷺ said: “If anyone says this when angry, his anger will go away.”
Sahih al-Bukhari

2. Whisper This from Your Heart:

🕊️ “Ya Allah, I am angry. My heart feels tight. Calm me with Your mercy. Let me react in a way that pleases You. Replace this fire with light.”

3. Make Wudu (A Sunnah Cure for Anger)

“Anger is from Shaytan, and Shaytan was created from fire. Fire is extinguished with water — so when one of you becomes angry, let him perform wudu.”
Abu Dawood (Authentic)
🔹 A physical, spiritual remedy to cool the heart.

💛 REMEMBER THIS:

  • Anger is not sinful — but what you do with it can be.

  • Allah watches when you fight your temper — and He loves your restraint.

  • You gain Jannah by walking away from things that ignite your anger.

“Whoever controls their anger, Allah will cover their faults on the Day of Judgment.”

Tirmidhi
