Morning Dhikr

 



Ayat al-Kursi – Surah Al-Baqarah (2:255)

Arabic:
اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ ۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌ ۚ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ ۗ... (complete verse)

Translation (Sahih International):
"Allah – there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer of existence. Neither drowsiness overtakes Him nor sleep. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth..."

Meaning:
This verse describes Allah’s absolute power and control over the universe. Reciting it in the morning protects one from all evil until the evening. (Sahih Bukhari)


2. Surah Al-Ikhlas (112:1–4)

Arabic:
قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ – اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ – لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ – وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ

Translation:
"Say, 'He is Allah, [who is] One,
Allah, the Eternal Refuge.
He neither begets nor is born,
Nor is there to Him any equivalent.'"

Meaning:
Affirms Tawheed (Oneness of Allah). Equal in reward to one-third of the Qur’an. (Tirmidhi)


3. Surah Al-Falaq (113:1–5)

Arabic:
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ الْفَلَقِ – مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ – وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ – وَمِن شَرِّ النَّفَّاثَاتِ فِي الْعُقَدِ – وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ

Translation:
"Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak
From the evil of that which He created
And from the evil of darkness when it settles
And from the evil of blowers in knots
And from the evil of an envier when he envies.'"

Meaning:
Protection against external harms – magic, envy, darkness, and evil creatures.


4. Surah An-Naas (114:1–6)

Arabic:
قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ – مَلِكِ النَّاسِ – إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ – مِن شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ – الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ – مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

Translation:
"Say, 'I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind,
The Sovereign of mankind,
The God of mankind,
From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws –
Who whispers in the breasts of mankind –
Among jinn and among mankind.'"

Meaning:
Protection against internal harm – whispers of Shaytan, evil thoughts, and unseen danger.


5. Qur’anic Dua for Protection & Faith – [Surah At-Tawbah 9:129]

Arabic:
حَسْبِيَ اللَّهُ لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ عَلَيْهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ ۖ وَهُوَ رَبُّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيمِ

Translation:
"Sufficient for me is Allah; there is no deity except Him. On Him I have relied, and He is the Lord of the Great Throne."

Meaning:
Declares reliance on Allah alone. Grants peace and protection.


6. Qur’anic Praise – [Surah Al-Ahzab 33:56]

Arabic:
إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلَائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ۚ يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا صَلُّوا عَلَيْهِ وَسَلِّمُوا تَسْلِيمًا

Translation:
"Indeed, Allah and His angels send blessings upon the Prophet. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace."

Meaning:
Reminds believers to send salawat (peace and blessings) upon Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, which brings tenfold reward. (Sahih Muslim)
